I am a philosopher of mind and cognitive science. I am a researcher (“Chargé de recherches”) at the French CNRS, attached to the Archives Henri Poincaré (Strasbourg). My research focuses on consciousness and introspection. Here are links to my publications and my CV.
What’s new?
My book House of Mirrors. The Illusion of Phenomenal Consciousness is out in pdf version. It is open access, and free to download. Printed copies should be available in August 2026. For more, see here.
In other news: I am co-editing (with W. Wiese and C. de Weerd) a special issue on artificial consciousness at the diamond open access journal Philosophy and the Mind Sciences. The issue should be out in 2026-2027
